This was my very first wedding of 2014, way back in January, Carolyn and Steve approached me due to the informal and relaxed style they saw in my images….they wanted me to capture the ambience and atmosphere, quite a tough call considering only 9 people would be in attendance, and that included the bride and groom!! But given the time of year, and knowing the Sweeney Hall to be a fabulous and gorgeous venue, I knew just where all the right places to take my clients. Add into that the beautiful decorations, and Christmas splendour, that was so evident at two more weddings I had recently shot there ( coming soon) I knew there would be atmosphere aplenty.
Carolyn and Steve were also very much into getting ready together…this was no “formal” wedding….even down to this part of the day. They arranged for me to be there from the start to document Carolyn and Steve getting ready. We then brought forward their “wedding shoot” to maximise their time with their 7 guests. Not only that it enabled me to take advantage of any remaining daylight, yes….their ceremony was early afternoon, and on the 4th of January, daylight is a rather scarce commodity. Add into the mixture some rain clouds and you have a seriously short day!! But…relaxed, informal and creative sums up the whole portfolio of images we captured together and it was one brilliant way to kick of what is set to become my busiest year so far.
Thank you so much to Carolyn and Steve you guys were truly wonderful to work with, it has been a pleasure designing your beautiful album…I look forward to seeing you again someday soon.
All the best to you both
