This wedding was just one of those days, a day full of laughter and good fun…a day where the beautiful late summers sun warmed the stunning Delbury Hall coach house in Shropshire near Craven Arms with all it’s wonderful walled gardens and herbaceous borders. The blue sky accented with a hint of leaves turning their rustic browns and subtle shades of gold, it really was summers last hurrah, and with a beautiful bride to grace the day and fill it with her beaming smile, this was Shropshire at it’s finest indeed.
This was the second wedding I had shot at Delbury and it was a welcome return, the coach house is beautifully set in gorgeous countryside not to far from the county town of Shrewsbury. Annabel and Nick live but a short car ride away in another beautiful area…and in an idyllic barn conversion….this was where Annabel and her bridesmaids were all getting ready. Nick was over at Delbury along with his best man and ushers, the task of working there to cover those pictures was by my good friend, and fellow photographer, Martin Hambelton…The wedding itself was a very relaxed and informal occasion, with the reliance of a majority of the images given over to a more reportage approach. But we still managed to persuade Annabel and Nick to have a few quiet images away from the family and friends, striking that balance is always hard, and something we constantly strive to achieve.
Here are a selection of images from their big day…I can’t thank Martin enough for his help, it was a real pleasure working alongside another photographer, and an experience I hope to relive again someday soon.
All there is left to do is to wish Annabel and Nick a long and happy marriage, and to say thank you to them for allowing me to share their beautiful wedding day.
All the very best guys.
